Best Ever 2-Minute Broccoli in Instant Pot

If you have never made fresh broccoli in your Instant Pot then I challenge you to do so.  This has become my little girl’s favorite part of the meal.  When I open the refrigerator to start dinner, she pulls out the broccoli EVERY time.  But seriously I am cool with this because it’s so tender and way delicious in ONLY 2 minutes.

If you don’t have a steamer basket for your Instant Pot, I definitely recommend that you invest in one. They are inexpensive but really needed in many dishes such as vegetables and ribs.

The first step you’ll want to do is place about 1-2 cups of water in your inner pot of your Instant Pot.  Then you’ll need to place your steamer basket (no trivet is needed) right into the pot and place your cut broccoli into the basket. I have quite a few steamer baskets and all are dishwasher safe which to me is important because I despise cleaning little bits of broccoli out of the basket by hand.

This is when personal preferences come in.  You can add a little slab (technical term here) of butter and a couple pinches of salt right on top of the broccoli. When done, close the lid and put on SEAL (don’t forget that..it’s so easy to do).  You can either push the word manual or steam and adjust time to 2 minutes.

When the timer beeps do a quick release. That means as soon as it peeps VENT the pressure in the pot. When done venting and pin has popped back down open the pot and see this…

As soon as my little knows this is done, she is right by my side begging for a piece.  You know the trick. You take one out, blow on it, she blows on it and then it’s ready.
