Slushy Punch Recipe – Perfect for Family Gatherings and Holidays!

I have had so many people that have never heard of slushy punch and although that’s ok, this is one recipe that you really need to give a try. It’s really what it sounds like..punch that is slushy.  My family loves to have this at our Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations (and any other celebration we can talk the host into making). It’s really easy to make and then needs to be froze until it’s ready to be served. If you have a enough freezer space, it’s time to head to your grocery store for the ingredients to make this delicious slushy punch.

These are the ingredients I used plus water. Have you seen these new Jell-O Simply Good varieties?  I am so happy that these are free of the dyes that the boxed ones have so if your store carries this, I totally recommend.

Any time my kid can have a whisk in her hands it’s a good day so she did a lot of that for me.  I am surprised at how un-messy she is with cooking sometimes.  I really expect the worst when she’s in the cooking with me (bad mom comment?).

This recipe that is shown below serves about 50 people.  We need that for family functions because there is NO way you’re going to drink just one glass..not gonna happen. I didn’t have big enough bowls to hold all the liquid so I actually kept the water, sugar and Jell-0 mixes separate from the lemon juice and pineapple juice.  Then when it was time to put in plastic ware, I just put half of each mixture into the containers and stirred together.  If you have a big enough bowl then go for it in one.

As the mixture starts to melt a little and makes the slush you know it’s going to be good!

I actually break the cube of frozen punch with a knife to disperse evenly.
