You’re 100 Days Smarter Cake {Celebrating 100 Days of School}

When you’re mom asks you to help her by making her a cake to celebrate her students being 100 days smarter you do it. No questions asked. Or at least that’s what I do.  My mom has been a teacher for what seems like FOREVER, but I think this is her 44th year.

I didn’t want to make a basic, traditional cake so I made it in to resemble the number 100 of course.  And don’t you worry, I guess we were celebrating someone’s 100th birthday. Kids!

I used a small loaf pan (individual serving) for the number 1 and then used a 6″ bundt pan (3 cup) that I bought to use in my Instant Pot for the zeros.

I would never, EVER, call myself a cake decorated so I used some chocolate candies to hide some imperfections. Totally worth it though to make the cake look even brighter without having to tint the color of the icing.

But then I wanted to “write” on the cake box.  Have you ever tried this?  So I printed up You’re Days Smarter on simple printer paper and covered with packing tape. I put in water for a minute and the paper came off. It worked..It really did! Yay!

And balloons. We had balloons. 100 of them.  My little was so good keeping that balloon in her hand and didn’t let go even after running up and down a hill a few times.  That balloon was hers. But it was time.  Time to let go of 100 balloons in the air to celebrate being 100 day smarter.  Go get em!
