Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberry Sauce

It’s time to break out this recipe for vanilla panna cotta with strawberry sauce.  It has been a favorite of mine for so long.  It’s one of those crowd pleasing desserts that looks fancy BUT takes no time to make.  I kinda forgot to take pictures along the way because the process was so fast.

Come see how to make this delicious dessert.  One cup is enough so make sure you even share the sauce between four cups.

I just bought these dessert dishes so if you’re up to testing the food I make in them, then let me know.

  1. Pour milk into a bowl. Sprinkle gelatin evenly on top and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, bring the cream and sugar to a simmer. When it has come to simmer, turn off heat and add in vanilla. Transfer to bowl.

  4. Pour the combined mixture into glasses or ramekins. Transfer to refrigerator and allow to cool for at least 2 hours.
  5. For the strawberry sauce, puree strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and 1 TBS water using a blender or other type of device.
  6. Transfer to saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Continue to boil until the mixture thickens to syrup-like consistency.
  7. Set aside to cool.
  8. When it's time to serve. Top cooled panna cotta with cooled strawberry sauce and garnish with whipped cream and a strawberry.
